Artist's Description
This shot was taken during the early morning fall sunrise on Skyline Drive, VA., just as the sunlight casts a warm morning glow on the tall golden yellow wheat grass. That's the Shenandoah valley we see in the background.
This continues to be my favorite tree that I have been photographing ever since the early 70s. This particular shot is from my private archives, taken October 8th, 2004. This spot is located about 3 minutes south of Big Meadows Lodge on the right side, Skyline Drive, VA. This was taken in fall, thus the pretty red leaves on the tree along with the tall golden yellow grass in the foreground. This looks incredible on canvas as a large canvas print.
