Description
(COLORIZED) Jesus healing the sick. The original is black and white that is also available here in this collection.
This artwork has been painstakingly restored to as close as possible to the original. Now we can make out all the faces, where as before they were all blurry and faded looking. Blemishes and major scratches have now been removed. Though it’s not possible to remove all of the cracking, some of it was removed, while other cracking was softened as to reduce its appearance. This artwork was also badly faded, so contrast of lights and dark have now been restored as well.
Historical paintings found in the James Roney Collection on this website are painstakingly restored as needed with the greatest of care to as close as possible to it’s original appearance as it might have looked when first painted. Restoring fading paint colors, removing various scratches, scuff marks, missing paint, dirt and blemishes from the painting, severe cracking, to paint flaking off, are part of our digital restoration process. However, we do not normally remove all the cracking found in paintings as that can actually hurt the restoration process. The Mona Lisa is a prime example, as we primarily focused on the person in the portrait. Our restoration process on the original Mona Lisa is still stunning. Museums around the word are encouraged to contact us to have your historical paintings restored in a digital format. Over 40 years of experience. Please contact us right away should you find something that might require a take down order as we never know when something we have published from a given source did not have proper authorization to give us commercial use permission.
