This is the first full moon in spring rising up over Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. This kind of shot is extremely rare where the photographer depends on moonlight instead of sunlight to take the picture which gives this picture a highly unusual feel or mood to it. The water there is upwards of two hundred feet in the middle.
SPECIAL ALERT: After searching for Smith Mountain Lake images sold by other photographers, I noticed that nearly all of them had nothing to do with Smith Mountain Lake. Rest assured that all of our images labeled or tagged, 'Smith Mountain Lake' are truly Smith Mountain Lake photographs.
